Laureth-9 (also known as PEG-9 Lauryl Ethers) is a nonionic surfactant derived from the ethoxylation of lauryl alcohol (C12 fatty alcohol) with 9 moles of ethylene oxide (EO). It is a water-soluble, emulsifying, and solubilizing agent widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial applications due to its detergency, mildness, and stability in formulations.
